Pet Travel

Pets travelling outside the UK with their owners are subject to specific travel regulations, which have changed since Brexit. Pet passports issued in the UK are no longer valid for onward travel to the EU. These have been replaced by Animal Health Certificates; which must be completed before each trip.

Several of our vets are accredited Official Veterinarians and can help to advise you on the up-to-date travel rules. Preparation for travel can take up to four months so please notify us as soon as possible when you know your travel dates!

If you are travelling from England into the EU, you will require paperwork to complete your trip. This must be completed by an Official Veterinarian and will require a longer than standard appointment time. Please return the PDF form attached below, with the required information at least seven days prior to your appointment with us.

Your pet will then need to be examined and the certificate completed within TEN DAYS of your entry into the EU.

Please note, if your Rabies vaccination is out-of-date, you'll need to wait a minimum of 21 days from the injection, before you'll be allowed to travel to the EU.
