Thinking of getting a guinea pig? Here are some facts:

Guinea pigs are very intelligent so need plenty of mental stimulation.
Toys, hiding food and forages are required to keep them entertained. Changing the layout of the cage can keep your guinea pig occupied.
Their teeth constantly grow so safe toys should be provided for them to chew on.
They are very sociable animals. Keeping them in same sex pairs is best.
They are now fully domesticated and do not live in the wild.
Guinea pigs make up to 11 individual sounds!
